Lisa’s Love of Yoga
Lisa’s greatest passion is helping others find their true inner self. She lives her life based on The Magic by practicing gratitude each and every day.
Lisa is an avid athlete and yogi, who has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. Yoga has made her more courageous, caring, spiritual and kind, especially to herself. Through yoga practice she has learned the true meaning of peace, compassion, kindness and love.
She first began practicing at Woodbury Yoga Center, where she fell in love with the physical benefits of yoga. After later discovering the spiritual side of yoga, she knew she had found her true calling and left a 20-year career of teaching public school to pursue her passion and love of yoga.
Along with her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (RYT) training from Buddhi Mat Power Yoga, she has studied various types of yoga including: Hatha, Baptiste Vinyasa Flow, Bikram, Kundalini, and Iyengar.
She is grateful to have taken trainings and workshops with such yoga luminaries as: Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, Rachel Brathen, Barbara Ruzansky, Lara Ward, Meghan Currie, Seane Corne, Shiva Rea, Kino MacGregor, Desiree Rumbaugh, and Master Sri Dharma Mittra.
Lisa specializes in VIP yoga experiences, such as private 1-on-1 training and 5-star yoga retreats. She has shared her talents at many 5-star resorts including: The Excellence and Finest Resorts, The Vine, Silversands, various Secrets resorts including Zoetry Paraiso, Secrets PVR and Cabo San Lucas, Couples and St. James Jamaica, as well as Manchebo Bay, and Playa Linda in Aruba.
She also offers private 1-on-1 Yoga Alliance (RYT) 200-hour teacher training for aspiring teachers.
Lisa has focused her teaching on the Vinyasa Power Yoga and Hot Yoga styles. Still, she loves to teach a wide variety of methods, including yoga/pilates fusion, kundalini yoga, as well as meditation. Her latest passion is her Boga Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga, and she is now offering lessons on Lake Quassapaug.
She offers yoga lessons for all ages including children, teens, and senior citizens, as well as yoga for cancer patients in rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, schools, and resorts.
Lisa is the mother of two grown children and has passed on the love of yoga as well as the benefits of living an active and healthy lifestyle. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, healthy cooking, gardening, organizing yoga and meditation retreats, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
